Of Fears
A downloadable Nano RPG Collection
This is a collection of six 12-word solo and two-player RPGs dealing with fear, body and trust issues as well as death. It is intended to have a generally unsettling atmosphere, verging on horror. The game also includes images of anatomical drawings, however there is a "clean" version provided without them. Because of the nature of the topics touched upon, it is recommended to check out TTRPG Safety Tools before playing.
They're postcard sized and come with a backing - print them out and send them to a friend! Or someone you would like to curse.
- Of Fear - A game for two players exploring what it means to carry the burden of fear.
- Kill Your Double - A game you play by yourself, standing in front of a mirror under harsh light. Can you stand your own sight?
- Of Hunger - A game about our insatiable appetites.
- In Your Bones - A divination game about your approaching death.
- Nachtmahr - A solo game about facing your worst nightmare.
- The Stranger(s) - A game for two people daring to risk their friendship.

Here you can find the game in a screen version as intended or scrubbed of the anatomical drawings with just formatted text. The printables also include a version with and withouth images. Please exercise caution, the files are labelled accordingly. The plaintext file has been put together to the best of my ability, trying to describe the formatting as well.

"My favorite has to be numbered 4: In Your Bones. I can picture a puny old hermit sitting cross-legged. He’s sliding erratically is finger from one apparent bone of his to another… His eyes were twitching but suddenly stopped. He lost the count… You just have 7 years to go…"

I can't believe how impressed, affected, and, quite honestly, angry this collection of games made me.
Impressed because it looks beautiful and is so ingeniously designed. Affected because these games did something to me. There was a real quiver in the meat and a trembling in the marrow.
Angry because this is just too much brilliance and after being so happy and creeped out, my feelings had to go somewhere! Also, because I want to pay for this brilliance!
